The YASD stool is a showcase for joinery. The legs and rails are connected with through-mortise-and-tenons and each tenon has a wedge inserted to increase the holding power of the joint. The seat is built from a frame of solid blocks that are joined at the corners with large dovetails. The seat panel, a custom veneer cold pressed to form the curve, is inlaid and epoxied into this frame.
